Use your other computer as additional display for your Mac. Recycle your old iMac, Powerbook or even Windows PC.

Version 1.34 (920405) Thu Jul 23 20:37:03 CEST 2009

  1. Added automatic disconnect on sleep. To prevent this new feature use defaults write com.screenrecycler keepconnectiononsleep YES.
  2. Automatic wakeup of remote computer after sleep. To prevent this new feature use defaults write com.screenrecycler disablewakeonlan YES.
  3. Added Driver/ReInstall and Driver/Uninstall menu items. In case you want to reinstall the driver (in case it has a few more resolutions) you can do that now from within the program.
  4. Changed the way on how ScreenRecycler finds out it's own name and addresses at start to prevent ScreenRecycler to wait there on the system to give back valid names and addresses.

WhatsOpen is a MacOSX utility designed to aid you in determining what is holding your files open. There is a common OSX error when trying to eject removable media relating to files being in use. Often times your files are in use by Spotlight or some other internal system and you don’t even know what program to kill to free up the files and allow the media to eject. This utility makes that a snap. It also provides many other administrative features you may find useful.

  • Searchable file list
  • Root or User modes
  • Sortable viewing columns to aid analysis
  • Google Search
  • On system man page searching for unix commands
  • CPU time for the running process
  • Shows IPv4 sockets
  • Allows file type filtering
  • Force eject
  • Pause/Unpause running processes
  • Drag and Drop filtering

GlimmerBlocker

The problem with other ad-blockers for Safari is that they are implemented as awful hacks: as an InputManager and/or ApplicationEnhancer. This compromises the stability of Safari and very often create problems when Apple releases a new version of Safari.  Snow Leopard doesn't support the InputManager-based blockers when Safari runs in 64-bit mode.

GlimmerBlocker is implemented as an http proxy, so the stability of Safari isn't compromised because it doesn't use any hacks. It is even compatible with all other browsers and other native Mac OS X applications which uses http, e.g. NetNewsWire.

SimpleTask

Other task lists, GTD apps, and to-do lists may be easy to use. Some have fantastic interfaces, others not so much.

SimpleTask is as easy to use as paper and pen and requires no learning curve. Adding a task is a snap, requiring only as much info as you have. If one word works for you, then it works for us.

Unlike other apps which add every task to the dock's red badge, you can choose which tasks are important enough to show up on your dock or iPhone homescreen.

Plus, you can do it with a click. No messy "Priority Level" menus to click through here.

The best part of SimpleTask is that you can add a task whenever it comes up, whether you're at your desk or miles away.

With syncing, you can add tasks to your iPhone on the go and come back and have the same list on your Mac. You can even sync with multiple computers.

Telephone is a VoIP program which allows you to make phone calls over the internet. It can be used to call regular phones via any appropriate SIP provider. If your office or home phone works via SIP, you can use that phone number on your Mac anywhere you have decent internet connection.

Telephone is really easy to use. It's for the Mac only.

Phone numbers and SIP addresses from Mac OS X Address Book application can easily be dialled with Telephone. Use email field with the custom label “sip” to store contact's SIP address.
