SpyMac.com has finally died!

Posted by: Carter in Twisted Blog

Tagged in: Untagged

Well, looks like SpyMac.com has finally died. A few years ago SpyMac.com went in their own direction which was complete off the topic of "Mac" and turned into a picture/video posting site which looked like hell.

The classic site has always been running http://classic.spymac.com but with the main site down users can no longer login. Looks like time has finally come for SpyMac!

Zenbe free "Personal Mail" users being shut out Feb 28/10

Posted by: Carter in Twisted Blog

Tagged in: Untagged

All "Free personal Email" users (including myself) were sent an email today telling them that their email account will be closed and user will no longer have access to their accounts after Feb. 28, 2010.

 Quote from Zenbe:

We greatly enjoyed creating an innovative, free email service and receiving excellent feedback from users like you. We are a small team committed to building well-designed, high-quality products. Like all small businesses, we’ve had to adapt to the needs of our users and the demands of the market. To do that effectively we built a vastly improved version of Zenbe Mail from the ground up. We run it in a top-tier data center and focus heavily on reliability, performance, and individualized customer support. We also bundle in our acclaimed Shareflow product that offers a truly unique approach to group communication.

Users have until the end of Feburary to find a new email service, copy/move all their wanted emails & files before they lose the ability to login.

Many users feel that the setup & feel of the "Free Personal Mail" service is surpriser to the new business style that they want everyone to pay for and many will turn many users will be on the hunt for a new webmail provider.

Below is a copy of the email that went out to all users Jan. 21, 2010
